The Beautiful Freedom series was inspired by the tragic terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. "Freedom Lives" and "Still Beautiful" are two important themes that reinforce my beliefs in an America that rallies to rise above chaos and heartbreak. These pieces are also inspired by all of the American's throughout history who sacrificed to make this country the amazing place that it is today. The butterfly is a symbol of freedom, beauty and transformation and represents the triumph of good over evil.
